Beluga Caviar - Black Pearl
Beluga Caviar is the most famous and prestigious of all caviars. Beluga caviar is harvested from the 'Huso Huso' sturgeon species and can live up to 120 years old. The rarity of Beluga caviar is related to the fact that this particular sturgeon does not ovulate until she reaches around 21 years old. Huso Huso roe is the largest of all the sturgeon roes with its diameter ranging from 3.2 - 3.6 mm.
This beautiful caviar is best served on its own or with traditional accouterments such as blini & Crème Fraîche.
Black Pearl Beluga Sturgeon is bred and grown in the "Thousand Island Lake Qiandao" in China. The pure water quality of the lake combined with the careful, manual harvesting approach makes it one of the world's best caviar. This particular caviar features on the menu of famed, Michelin starred Restaurants - Per Se and French Laundry.
Caviar must be stored in the coolest section of your refrigerator, preferably on ice until ready to serve. We recommend that you purchase the right amount of Caviar required for each Caviar service, as once the Caviar tin is opened it should be consumed and enjoyed immediately.
